Demo classroom
Explore the Studio with sample students and example assignments in a private class.
Parts of the Demo classroom
The Demo classroom is a private class with sample students, where you try every part of the Studio before you assign work to your own class. It begins with 12 sample students and one example assignment per enabled pack. The demo enables all five packs.
A sample class roster
The example assignments use the same creation process as assignments in your class. You can read their instructions, inspect their rubrics, and change their settings.
Open the Demo classroom
Getting started offers Try it with sample students. This button opens your Demo classroom in the Studio. The Studio prepares the example assignments on your first entry, so they may appear after the page opens.
New assignment lets you practice creating work in the demo. The six steps are Pack, Template, Scenario, What students do, Details, and Your choices. You can change the instructions and rubric before pressing Create assignment. Preview on an assignment shows its student's view.
What stays in the demo
The Demo classroom keeps practice work separate from your teaching class. Your real students use their own class. Grades reach Canvas through a connected real class after you review the selected grades and confirm Send.
