Live Discussion Rooms
Live Discussion Rooms covers small-group case discussions, AI panels, session settings, and the resulting recordings.
The two room templates
Live Discussion Rooms is the pack for live conversations that follow an agenda. Its two templates include 22 scenarios. Students join a video room to discuss a case or question AI panelists.
Guided Discussion
Feedback only, no gradeThe selected scenario supplies the session settings shown in Details. Both templates start with optional screen sharing. Peer review and Self-review with the rubric start off.
Discussion scenarios
Guided Discussion includes six cases written for that template and 13 additional cases from the case library. Panel Discussion includes three panels with different positions for students to examine.
| Template | Scenarios |
|---|---|
| Guided Discussion: six cases | Harbor Community Workshop; Best Buy; Patagonia; Slack; Southwest Airlines; Tupperware |
| Guided Discussion: examples from the case library | Volvo Trucks: the Epic Split; Wells Fargo: the accounts nobody asked for; Meadow Library: a quiet hour |

Patagonia asks students to discuss an advertisement that encouraged people to buy less. Slack concerns an enterprise sales team. Tupperware concerns selling through stores and home parties.
Launch Now or Wait? concerns a national chain's request for 60,000 lights for autumn. Students question the founder and investor before making a recommendation.
The case page holds objectives and an agenda. Preview the experience opens the activity for inspection. Run a demo room shows a discussion with simulated students. You can revise the steps or write your own Guided Discussion questions.
Sessions and the AI guide
Sessions in Details controls how students join. You can schedule groups yourself or offer times for groups to book. Students receive invitations with a Join link.
An AI guide reads each step aloud enables a spoken reading of the agenda. The guide reads the current step and asks its question.
Reviewing discussion work
The Studio records the shared room and each student's own camera and microphone. Each student's recording has its own transcript and feedback. The discussion report compares individual talk time with the group average and includes poll answers and a written summary.
Panel Discussion uses the General Discussion rubric. Its recording and transcript identify panelists by name. You review students' contributions against the rubric and release held feedback when it is ready.
Questions
Join opens 10 minutes before the scheduled start by default. When Join opens in the session settings lets you change that interval. Students receive reminders 24 hours and 15 minutes before the session.
